Calling all stay at home moms!!!

Well it has happened...my dreams I mean! I am finally a stay at home mom. I don't think it has sunk in yet. It is so wonderful. I am so thankful to my wonderful husband for having the faith to just do it! Now my next question...what do all you stay at home moms do? I feel like I have been cleaning my house everyday for weeks. Is that really what this is all about? (Not that I am complaining) I just would like to know a way to keep my house clean so I can spend quality time with Tyrus...(especially before the baby comes) and not watch movies all day...is that normal? Anyway...if anyone has any suggestions that would be awesome!

i think you're one up on me... I dont usually get my house cleaned... so i think you're doing good!

I mostly just play all day with the boys... I facebook... a lot...too much probably...

I think there are ambitious moms who actually do crafts and stuff with their kids... ask andrea... she's the bomb with stuff like that.

I'm so excited that you're finally at home! Dont worry... things will get much crazier when #2 gets here... then you'll wish you were looking for things to do with your time! :)

PS. I miss you like a mother in labor!... which will be YOU in a few months... :)

Congrats! We should try and start a play group. I have been wanting to but it seems like us moms with younger kids only is a rare thing around here. Let me know if you are interested! BYW, when do you find out what you are having or have you?!

Yeah, I am with Heather. Looking back, I am not sure what I did all day with one child. It was a cake walk.

Now with two, I never wonder what I should do. There is always plenty to do. Lately, I spend most my time just keeping number two alive.

Here's one suggestion. Get a pass to the aquariam (super cheap)and go like once a week. THe kids always love it and it gets you out of the house.

My next suggestion. Come over. Yeah. I can't believe I haven't seen you yet. Lets do lunch together a couple times a month. And when I say let's do lunch, I mean you come to my house and then I'll come to your house. Maybe if we get really brave we could venture out to Chick-fil-a once in a blue moon. Taking multiple kids out is always questionable.

My last suggestion is to bake and craft and cook and make your home a great place for James to come home to so this arrangement stays permenent.

When is your baby due?

By the way. I am super proud of you, and James.

Holli, your house will never stay clean...just get used to it! Especially when you are home all day with Tyrus making it messy! :) When my kids are off track we go and do lots of fun stuff...so, I'll let you know what we're planning and you should totally come with us! And, I agree with everyone else...once you have your baby you'll be wishing for this "free time"...so, enjoy every minute of it! Don't feel guilty for watching movies all day, it's snowing outside...what else are you supposed to do? :)

I don't know how it is to try to come up with something to entertain myself anymore. With 3 kids, there's always something going on. It seems like when I had only one, I would spend time shopping (not necessarily spending a lot of money...just looking around at everything wherever we went)and going to the library. I also spent a lot of time hanging out with family. Wow...days with only one, I can hardly remember... I'm sure there was plenty of tv and movie watching.

I'm excited for you to be at home!! Take care of yourself and this new little one coming. I'm thinking about you!!

Yes that is all I do all day. And all my kids do is watch movies when I am pregnant especially. We will have to get together though. Not that I like to go anywhere with 4 kids now Danielle used to say don't people want to get out of their houses to go do stuff and now I don't really think I do.

Yeah Holli! So exciting! Seriously...the change from one child to two was the HARDEST for me! Good luck with that! I try to keep my house clean, but I find that I am just following kids around picking up after them. Take some time to yourself, and don't feel too guilty!

I just decided I won't clean until the kids are in bed. It is starting to drive me crazy constantly cleaning up after them. It is a never ending project. And this way I have much more time to be on the computer, j/k...kind of:)

I am excited for you to be at home. That is awesome. Best of luck and congrats on another boy.
